GMB’s Piers Morgan suffers awkward wardrobe malfunction ‘I’m not going to show you’
GMB: Lorraine calls Piers Morgan a 'clown' over mask incident
Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid returned to Good Morning Britain for a festive instalment alongside famous faces Dame Joan Collins, Katherine Jenkins, Rev Justin Welby and Joe Wicks. Piers opted to wear a festive Christmas jumper for the occasion while Susanna looked stunning in a tight-fitting red sequin frock. Unfortunately, things didn’t get off to the best of starts as the controversial host revealed he’d suffered a wardrobe malfunction.
Piers confessed he had trouble fitting into his Christmas jumper after he had spent most of the year in lockdown, prompting to Susanna to tease him over his outfit choice.
“I always wear a silly jumper on Christmas and I’ve worn one here with penguins to reflect the fact that I often identify as a two spirit penguin as you know,” the host explained.
“[It’s] a little tight, in fact, so tight they had to physically slash the back of the jumper.
“I’m not going to show you yet but I might do later once the mulled wine starts to kick in but..”

“The full reveal?” questioned Susanna.
Piers continued: “Let’s just say it wasn’t quite big enough so Debbie, Debbie Dresses, we call her who normally works on dresses..
“Had to come to me with a large pair of secateurs and just basically go sshhrrt and so you know it sort of loosened things up a bit.”
Susanna added she too had put on some weight during lockdown, telling Piers: “Yes and I have put on, let’s say quite a few pounds, in lockdown and over the year…”
Later in the show, Piers and Susanna exchanged gifts, with both receiving a football shirt with their nicknames emblazoned on them.
Susanna also received a bracelet with “from Shouty to Pouty” engraved on the inside and a pair of ear defenders.
Her co-host Piers was given two cricket touring caps from the Geoffrey Boycott collection and an award-winning British sparkling wine.
Piers was given an Arsenal shirt with “shouty” on it while “pouty” was on the back of Susanna’s.

Commenting on his gift, Piers said he was touched by his “absolutely amazing” gift from his fellow presenter.
“And a bottle of champagne,” he remarked. “You couldn’t wish for more on Christmas than a bit of cricket, a bit of champagne and a bit of football.
“So thank you… [I’m] very touched by this.”
Also on the show, Piers and Susanna welcomed Dame Joan, who spoke about how despite being alive during World Ward 2, she thinks this Christmas is particularly tough for many this year.
“Well this year has been worse than anything I can possibly remember because you see I was such a young child during the time of the war and my mother was terribly protective and although she was scared stiff, she didn’t really allow us to be scared,” she recalled.
“And we were constantly, my sister was a baby, we were constantly shuffled around, we were evacuated all over the place, Chichester, Oxford, Brighton, Bognor, Ilfracombe, Dewsbury, you name it, we went.
“We went for maybe two or three months then we would come back, and the Blitz would start.”
Watch Good Morning Britain on Christmas Day morning from 7am.
