On Monday’s Good Morning Britain, Susanna Reid welcomed guest presenter Ed Balls on to the show. Susanna has been joined by a number of co-hosts since Piers Morgan’s departure in March. The duo discussed the latest news headlines and they also interviewed Labour MP Lisa Nandy via video link.

However, some viewers were left angered by the segment, with many slamming Balls, who is a former member of the Labour Party, for his “impartial” interviewing technique.

Taking to social media, Russell penned: “#GMB Labour panel interviewing a Labour M.P … Balanced Debate?”

Twitter-user @notonmytv wrote: “Nandy and Balls. Welcome to the labour political broadcast.”

While Mike sarcastically tweeted: “What a lovely fluffy tiptoe unbiased interview from this Labour supporting presenters and program no interruptions just letting her talk and talk.” (sic)
