Doctor Who season 13 on BBC One is well underway as Jodie Whittaker leads the Time Lord’s companions through another adventure. Throughout Flux, she will be joined by a number of guest stars. Who is appearing in episode 3?
Who are the guest stars in episode 3 of Flux?
Swarm – Sam Spruell
The big bad of the season so far, Swarm is played by Sam Spruell.
Swarm will be going head-to-head with the Doctor in episode three, though it likely won’t be the last time they’ll clash.
Spruell has been appearing in blockbusters for years now, including Snow White and the Huntsman, Legend, Taken 3, and The Counsellor.
More recently, Spruell could be seen in The North Water, Locked Down, and Small Axe.
Azure – Rochenda Sandell
Sister of Swarm, Azure has proved to be a strange and mysterious character so far this season.
Initially, it looked as though Rochenda Sandell would be playing a human character, but this was ultimately a deception.
With the apocalypse approaching, the Doctor will be battling Azure alongside her brother in episode three.
Sandell could recently be seen in Deceit as Lucy, as well as Small Axe, Criminal: UK and Unprecedented.
Karvanista – Craige Els
Craige Els plays the fuzzy space pirate Karvanista, a completely unique alien for the Doctor Who-verse.
He’s not as cuddly as he may first appear as he will prove to be a menace for the Doctor and the group in episode three.
Els may not be recognisable in Doctor Who, but the star has appeared in numerous projects, most recently starring as Derek Milligan in Coronation Street.
Before that, Els could be seen in Ripper Street, Endeavour, and Call the Midwife.
Joseph Williamson – Steve Oram
The Doctor will be diving deep into Williamson’s Tunnels in Liverpool in episode three.
These tunnels have become something of an urban legend, created by Joseph Williamson for an unknown purpose in reality.
This is perfect Doctor Who, with the Doctor herself finding more than she expects lurking in the tunnels.
Played by Steve Oram, the star is known for Code 404, Line of Duty, and The End of the F***ing World.
Diane – Nadia Albina
Diane looks to be a new love interest for Dan Lewis (played by John Bishop) in this series.
However, she was quickly caught up in the Swarm’s deadly plans, leaving her fate unknown.
Played by Nadia Albina, the star is both an actor and voice actor, with her voice being heard in video games such as Total War: Rome II and Assassin’s Creed: Origins.
More recently, she could be seen on screen in Innocent, The One and Year of the Rabbit.
Doctor Who season 13 continues November 14 on BBC One at 6.30pm.
