Death in Paradise season 10 will be one to remember as old characters returned to the sandy shores of Saint Marie. The anniversary series of the BBC comedy-drama also saw the permanent comeback of DS Florence Cassell (played by Josephine Jobert) who left in series eight. She will once again be reprising her role for season 11.
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Death in Paradise.
Florence left Saint Marie after her fiancé Patrice Campbell (Leemore Marrett Jr) was murdered midway through an investigation.
She was heartbroken and so decided she needed a fresh start but in series 10, Florence believed it was time to return to the job she loved.
This time around, Florence was working alongside DI Neville Parker (Ralf Little) who started to have feelings for her.
But is he really going to tell his new right-hand woman or will he bottle up his emotions once more for season 11?
Viewers were thrilled to see actress Jobet back on Death in Paradise after being away for two years.
Not too much is known about the French actress when she isn’t in the BBC series and has only been involved in a handful of projects.
These include Summer Crush, Sous le soleil de Saint-Tropez, Cut, Le temps est assassin and Avenue 5.
Although, it is known that she has a connection to the world of James Bond.
Jobert is the cousin of French actress Eva Green who portrayed the Bond GIrl Vesper Lynd in 2006’s Casino Royale.
Green starred opposite Daniel Craig whose Bond was deeply in love with Vesper until he discovered that he had betrayed her.
Her initial mission from Quantum was to sabotage Bond but the guilt got to her in the end and later during a struggle with henchmen, she locked herself in an elevator just as it was filling up with water.
The building was collapsing around them when she kissed Bond’s hand as an apology before drowning herself.

In an interview with Hello! magazine, Jobert expressed her interest in becoming a Bond Girl herself.
She said: “Yes, I’d love it!
“It’s so funny, and I’m not making this up, I receive so many messages from people and fans who say to me, ‘You should be the next Bond girl.’
“It’s something that happens pretty often. And I screenshot every single message.
“I have to keep them just in case I meet the casting director and I can say ‘Look at this!'”
Jobert will be returning for season 11 of Death in Paradise which is expected to return in January 2022.
This will be far from the end though as the drama has been given a double renewal.
So there will be even more new episodes to come as part of season 12 which should air in early 2023.
Death in Paradise is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
