Coronation Street’s Jenny set to buy Rovers Return in ex Johnny pub sale twist

Coronation Street viewers haven’t had to wait long to find out who buys the Rovers Return, after the show seemed to confirm the new owner.

Spoilers for next week’s episodes seem to confirm who is buying the iconic pub.

The Rover Return went back on the market in May, after owners Johnny Connor and wife Jenny split up.

They parted ways after Jenny’s romance with Ronnie, and Johnny’s time in prison for burglary and GBH meant their marriage couldn’t survive.

After the split, Johnny decided to sell the pub.

The decision came as a shock to many, especially Sean and Emma who both work there.

Fans of the show have seen single lady Jenny considering buying the pub, with stepdaughter Daisy stepping in to help finance it.

However, it seems Jenny’s best-laid plans are about to change next week, when Daisy begins causing problems as she panics about the money.

Daisy’s other business Double Glammy, was a pyramid selling scheme that she dragged Sean into.

It was exposed as a scam recently after Sean found out what was really happening.

Sean asked Daniel to write an exposé about the scam for a newspaper, and unhappy Daisy gets her revenge next week.

None-the-wiser about Daisy’s meddling, Jenny heads to a mortgage meeting to discuss their plans to buy the pub.

Behind her back, Daisy changes the rota and takes all of Sean's shifts for herself.

Unsurprisingly, Emma isn't happy when she finds out about this and challenges Daisy over her attempt to replace Sean.

She points out that if Sean is gone, so is the famous hotpot recipe.

Emma also says she won’t do any work or help out until Sean is reinstated – what a good friend!

Daisy can only watch in horror as her plan fails, and things go from bad to worse when Jenny finds out about the exposé article.

Naturally poor Jenny is horrified when she finds out what Daisy has actually been up to.

She quickly gives Sean his shifts back when she finds out what Daisy did at the pub.

Jenny tells Daisy she doesn't need her help to buy the pub now, after her actions.

Following her mortgage meeting and examining her finances, Jenny decides she's going to buy the pub herself and properly go it alone.

Jenny isn’t going anywhere, and fans have a new landlady.

Corrie airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV.
