Coronation Street fans will soon be introduced to a new arrival on the cobbles as a relative of Jenny Connor (played by Sally Ann Matthews) is set to arrive and cause trouble in the ITV soap. However, the reunion may not be a happy one for Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) if Jenny’s relative persuades her to leave Johnny once and for all.

The landlady first arrived on the cobbles after the death of her mother Pat and was fostered by Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox).

Her father Alan Bradley (Mark Eden) tracked Jenny down but was later killed after tormenting Rita.

Jenny has had a very stressful time on the cobbles in recent weeks after her husband opened up about his criminal past.

Could Jenny have a secret sibling who’s set to make their shock arrival on the cobbles and convince the landlady to kick Johnny out?

Speaking to press including, actress Sally revealed Jenny will be pleased to see her relative.

Sally began: “She’s thrilled with this arrival. I guess it’s what she needed at this point she needs something of her own.

“I mean, her life for the last few years has been everything to do with the Connors.”

“She’s put up with a lot, she’s had to take on his kids and then Aidan [Connor’s] (Shayne Ward) suicide and Carla [Connor’s] (Alison King) traumas.”

“Then we’ve got Carla and Peter [Barlow] (Chris Gascoyne) living with us in the Rovers so she’s embraced the whole Connor clan,” Sally continued.

“And so to have somebody that’s from her past is really exciting

“I think she’s desperate to embrace that and cling on to it.”

Jenny and Johnny’s marriage has come under strain in recent weeks and the arrival of a family member who’s on the landlady’s side could prove fatal for the couple.

Will Jenny’s sister persuade the landlady she deserves better than the reformed criminal?

Coronation Street star Sally hinted the “dynamic” in the Rovers Return is set to change dramatically when her relative arrives.

She shared: “They’ll definitely be sparks you can put it that way.”

Jenny will be overjoyed to finally have someone on her side on the street and will encourage them to move into the pub.

Carla and Peter already live in the Rovers after stepping in to help run the pub when Jenny and Johnny visited Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) in France.

Jenny’s relative could persuade the landlady it’s time she did something for herself and kick Johnny out of the Rovers for lying to her about his criminal past.

Will Jenny’s family member stir up trouble for the Connors or will they be pleased to see the landlady’s relative?

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV at 7.30pm.
