Coronation Street’s Amy Barlow (played by Elle Mulvaney) could be forced to change her plans for university to help save Emma Brooker’s (Alexandra Mardell) wedding. In upcoming scenes, Curtis announces he is going to train for the Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Oliver Battersby’s (Emmanuel and Jeremiah Cheetham) fund.

She soon reveals her plans to study Business at university but Steve is forced to admit to Tracy he promised Emma the money from the flat sale to fund her wedding.
With an angry Tracy staring at him, Steve suggests to Emma maybe she should scale back her wedding so they can pay for Amy’s university fees.
Having overheard their exchange and feeling bad Emma may not get the wedding she wanted, Amy reveals she’d rather go to a local college and live at home.
Tracy isn’t happy Amy plans to use her inheritance from Deirdre Barlow (Anne Kirkbride) to fund her education so Emma can splash the cash and have the wedding of her dreams.
Elsewhere, Curtin leaves for his Three Peaks Challenge and meets up with a charity worker to give a talk about his condition at the golf club, however, he has no intention of actually doing the challenge.
Is Amy sacrificing too much for the happiness of Emma and her wedding?
Will Amy’s decision to stay at home for uni be the wrong choice, as fears grow Curtis isn’t being truthful about his condition?
In a recent episode, fans have grown suspicious of Curtis and whether he is lying about his cardiovascular issues.
He often tries not to disclose too much information about his illness and acts very cagey when people ask him questions.
Things became more unusual when Curtis popped the question to Emma despite being cold and distant.
Fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the storyline with @Noreen78740488 theorising: “I wonder if Curtis has just made up his heart condition #corrie.”
@Kaza_gayle added: “Don’t think Curtis is ready for all of Emma, bright idea for the wedding! #corrie.”
@Rachybaby commented: “Hmmm, Curtis, not having any friends and being uninterested with everything to do with the wedding is a little weird, no? #corrie.”
@no_ONE_left agreed: “Omg, I 100% agree, how can someone literally have no one to invite to their own wedding? Very weird indeed.” (sic)
