Coronation Street fans overjoyed as Seb's killer Corey Brent is FINALLY arrested

CORONATION Street fans are overjoyed after Seb Franklin’s killer Corey Brent was finally caught and charged with the crime.

The killer footballer – who is played by actor Maximus Evans in the ITV soap – was trying to flee the country to escape justice for kicking Seb to death.

Ushered into the van by Eli’s dad, they had no idea Gary was there to take over and deliver them to the police.

“I should be playing golf today,” said Stefan, outraged at the impact on his own life.

“Instead I’m hiding in the back of a van trying to sneak you out of the country to save your skin yet again.

“If this actually works and you get away.

“And actually become a footballer in a country that doesn’t have an extradition treaty, I want an Aston Martin.

“And a beach house.”

But before he could finish his laundry list of pay offs he wanted for helping his son escape murder charges, the van came to a stop.

Realising something was wrong, Stefan began to panic.

And when the doors opened, it was revealed they were at Weatherfield police station – and Corey was finally arrested.

The detective told him: “Corey Brent I’m arresting you on suspicion of the murder of Sebastian Franklin.

“You do not have to say anything but it may harm your defence if you fail to mention when questioned something you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence.”

With that Abi winked at him and Corey was led in for questioning.

He gave nothing but no comment answers – but it didn’t matter because Eli had already exposed Corey and his dad’s lies.

And with the blood splatter evidence from the clothes, Corey was banged to rights.

Outside, the detective went out to tell Abi, Kevin, Nina and Asha that the CPS has decided to charge Corey with murder.

And while Abi was thrilled, inside Corey was too busy crying about what happened inside, devastated he was going to prison.

And fans were overjoyed.

One wrote: "Corey’s finally getting what he deserves 👮‍♀️"

A second said: "Well sorry to say Corey, your new home will be yours for the next 20 to 25 years 🙏🙏"

Another added: "Corey is crying like a big baby! 🤣🤣🤣"
