Bulletproof South Africa: Ashley Walters discusses stunts
Bulletproof: South Africa has been airing as a special mini-series on Sky over the past few weeks. However, now the show is coming to an end, viewers are eager to know whether the series might be coming back for a fourth season on Sky. Here’s what’s been revealed so far, including what the stars had to say.
Will there be another series of Bulletproof?
Fans will be delighted to know Bulletproof has already been commissioned for a fourth season on Sky.
The show brings its third outing to an end on February 3 and work will start on the new outing soon after.
The news was confirmed by Sky back on January 15 with a short teaser for the new outing.
This reads: “Bishop and Pike are set to be implicated in a grisly murder, leaving their jobs, lives and families hanging in the balance.

“The pair must use every ounce of skill and tenacity to bring down the most untouchable villain they’ve ever faced.”
Sky has also confirmed the next outing will be longer than the latest three-part special.
Season four has been commissioned for eight episodes at 60 minutes each.
Speaking about the news, co-creator and Aaron Bishop star Noel Clarke said: “We are ecstatic that Bulletproof has been commissioned for yet another season.
“It is a testament to the hard-working cast, crew, and everyone behind the scenes making it all happen.
“We work hard to bring you something entertaining and heartfelt and we hope you enjoy it when it returns!”
His Ronnie Pike Jr co-star and co-creator Ashley Walters added: “I am so pleased we can continue the journey of Bishop and Pike.
“This show has stood the test of time because of the heart we put into it.
“We really appreciate the support we have had from all that have watched. See you again soon.”

When will Bulletproof season 4 be released?
Sky has confirmed the fourth season of Bulletproof will begin filming later in 2021 in London.
However, an exact release date has not yet been announced for the new outing.
Speaking at a recent Q&A for the series, Clarke revealed a bit more about how long it takes to make the show.
He explained: “One finishes, then you know the powers that be have to kind of say, whether you’re happening again or not.
“They’ll usually do that within about six months or so from shooting, probably when the thing airs.
“And then it all starts rolling again very slowly.
“Then that’s probably the 18-month process that it takes to start thinking what story do we want to tell. How can we really up at this time and change it? How can we build that?
“Then you have your writers’ rooms and you start building all that stuff up.
“So it’s a long process and you know it can go on for a while.
“Sometimes it happens and then your show doesn’t get even recommissioned but you have to be thinking forward otherwise you’re behind.”
As soon as any more is revealed about the new season, Express.co.uk will update this article.
Bulletproof airs on Sky One on Wednesdays.
