Billie Faiers reveals she’ll give 'rude' Phillip Schofield a second chance after saying he 'made her feel uncomfortable' amid Amanda Holden row

BILLIE Faiers will give Phillip Schofield a second chance after his "rude and uncomfortable" interview about her wedding.

The 29-year-old was left hurt after being grilled about the cost of her lavish wedding in the Maldives.

But the reality TV star says she's willing to move on from the spat, joking that she had "added fuel to the fire" following his row with Amanda Holden.

It's after Billie complained about Phil's behaviour when he repeatedly asked if she'd paid £229,000 for the fancy do.

"It did think it was rude," Billie told The Sun Online, while at the Tropicana Whole Fruit launch in Soho today.

"I was uncomfortable and I was taken aback. I was in shock that someone would ask how much my wedding cost. But it wasn't a personal dig at Phil."

Phil pushed Billie to reveal how much she'd spent during a live interview on This Morning.

Telling viewers that she paid for her guests to stay in the Maldives for seven days, Phil said: "My God, you must be earning beautifully to be able to do this."

He added: "This is the Kuramathi resort in the Maldives. So we had a look, if you were to stay there next Saturday it would be £650 a night.

"That would be £4,588 for a week for the superior beach villa. The whole week for 100 guests – £229,000. So you must have got a deal there."

But the 57-year-old silver fox's tone caught Billie off-guard and she was left offended by the exchange.

Promising she's over it, Billie added: "I'm sure I'll see him out and about and say hi.

"I'm sure it'll be fine. I think I just added fuel to the fire about the row [with Amanda Holden].

"He probably didn't want to ask about the money but felt he had to."

Billie married her long-term partner Greg Shepherd in front of 100 guests in March.

She looked stunning in a glamorous fishtail lace crystal embellished wedding gown after hiring a personal trainer to help her lose weight and tone.

"The wedding inspired me to get fit to look my best on the day," says Billie.

More than half of Brits believe fibre is a protein

TODAY, a new study has uncovered Brits are unaware about their diet and nutrition, especially when it comes to fibre.

The research of over 2,000 UK adults** commissioned by Tropicana to mark the launch of its new high fibre Whole Fruit range examined the nation’s knowledge of fibre and the role it plays in their diet. Key findings include:

  • Almost one in five (17 per cent) admit they do not know where fibre comes from;
  • Over half (57 per cent) of those surveyed believe that fibre is a protein;
  • Almost one in seven (13 per cent) believe it’s found in meat, whereas over one in ten (11 per cent) think it’s in fish;
  • One in seven do not think fibre is an important nutrient of a healthy balanced diet (14 per cent) or think it is important to their body (15 per cent); and
  • 86 per cent of participants are not aware they should be consuming 30g of fibre a day.

Billie said: "I'm a busy mum with a young family. It's really important we all get our goodness every day.

"Grabbing one of these drinks on the go means I know I'm definitely getting one of my five a day."

"I thought if I can't get in shape for my wedding, when can I? That was my mindset.

"After the wedding I stopped for a few weeks, but I didn't like it.

"Exercising made me feel so much better. Not just physically, but mentally too, so I've kept myself motivated.

"I've been keeping it up ever since. Everyone laughs because I've never been a gym person, but I've really got into it."

She's back filming with sister Samantha for the new series of The Mummy Diaries.

The ITVBe show has been renewed for another two seasons as parents tune in to see Billie's busy life raising five-year-old Nelly and Arthur, two.

Quizzed on whether she'd have time to join the upcoming ten-year Towie reunion, Billie said: "I keep seeing rumours about a Towie reunion, but I don't know if it's genuine.

"I haven't been asked yet. It would be good, it would be really entertaining to watch, but I can't imagine Mark coming back.
