BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty give co-star brutal dressing down as he accuses weatherman of walking off mid-report

BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty gave co-star Charlie Stayt a brutal dressing down on Thursday's episode.

Host Charlie was left unimpressed when weather presenter Matt Taylor appeared to leave the set mid-report.

Matt carried out his weather update promising colder weather for the rest of the week.

At the end of the weather report, Naga said: "Matt, thanks very much – we'll see you later!"

But Charlie was eager to find out what the weather will be for the Jubilee weekend.

"If you heard me mumbling there, I was asking about the Jubilee weekend weather, but Matt's gone now, has he?" Charlie remarked as Matt disappeared from the screen.

Naga jumped in and corrected Charlie after he accused the weatherman of walking off mid-report.

She insisted: "No, he's still there! Look, he's just stood back to attention!"

Realising his error, Charlie agreed: "Oh, he's still there! There we are."

He then asked: "Do we know yet, Matt, about the Jubilee weekend weather?"

But Matt could not confirm yet and said: "Not quite yet. Next week's looking a little bit difficult. It could go one way or another, but I'll keep you updated of course in the coming days."

Naga joked: "Can you push it to the better way?"

Matt joked: "I will do my best, as I always will."

It comes after Naga had her fans in a panic that she was leaving the show after bidding a co-star an emotional farewell.

The presenter waved goodbye to her co-star Adam Fleming.

The political correspondent announced he would be taking an break from the breakfast show to focus on a new project.

However, as Naga penned an emotional goodbye to him – fans were left panicking that it was HER who was leaving BBC Breakfast.

"This is my last week at Westminster for a while because I’m going to do other stuff for a few months," Adam wrote on Twitter.

Alongside a photo of himself outside Downing Street, he added: "Thanks for all the constructive feedback of my political coverage."

"A change is as good as a rest (they say). I don't like what they say," Naga responded in her emotional tribute to Adam.

"Still, I hope you enjoy the change. I'll miss you on BBC Breakfast."

Confused fans were quick to reply, begging Naga, 47, not to leave after mistaking her goodbye as her leaving the show.

"Oh no don’t say you are leaving Naga!" one wrote, as a second chimed wrote to Adam: "We will really miss you!"
