BBC Breakfasts Jon Kay branded boring as hes compared to someones brother
BBC Breakfast presenter Jon Kay has been told he has a "boring" face in a brutal swipe.
The host made a candid admission while seated on the famous sofa alongside his co-host Tina Daheley on Wednesday (August 24), as the pair discussed new research into doppelgängers.
While trawling through the newspaper headlines of the day, Jon told Tina: "This is freaky. There's a story in The Times this morning on doppelgängers. You know when you see somebody in the street or somebody tells you they've seen someone who looks exactly like you?

"Well there's research that has been done that says there's something in the genes. It's not just that you look alike, but they've done some work that even though these people might not be related to you, you act like them as well.
"There are brain and behavioural similarities in people who look alike too."
Turning to Tina, he then asked: "Have you ever seen someone who looks exactly like you?"
She confessed: "I don't think I have, no, not exactly like me."
Jon then candidly admitted: "I get told all the time I look like someone's brother, or… I've just got one of those faces. Boring faces."
Tina agreed: "You do!" before cutting herself off to correct: "I didn't say boring, you did!"
"I did," he giggled – clearly not offended by the turn in conversation.
Fans joined in the discussion on social media, as one pointed out that Jon also bore a striking resemblance to a man pictured in The Times article.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Is it just me who thought @jonkay01 looked a lot like the doppelgänger in the newspaper featured on #BBCBreakfast this morning. You really *do* have one of those faces Jon."

Jon quickly agreed: "Ha. Not unlike you, too!"
Elsewhere on the programme, Jon branded Tina "absolutely bizarre" amid a DIY row.
With Jon asking how she is with practical tasks around the home, Tina replied: "I'm all right! I like to think I am. I'm one of those people who has to read every single instruction, and it really annoys me when someone…"
Jon interjected: "You read instructions? Absolutely bizarre."
A frosty Tina told him: "While putting together furniture. That's how it works."
