Robbie Williams to cover balding head with wig after failed hair transplant
Robbie Williams is ready to have a second hair transplant to “thatch” his balding barnet.
Flashing his thinning locks on ex-footballer Clarke Carlisle’s podcast, the Old Before I Die singer admitted his “wing-backs are pushing on” and “they’ve left big gaps at the back”.
But Robbie said he has decided to have a thatch.
The singer told Clarke & Carrie’s Place, the mental health podcast that the former Professional Footballers’ Association chairman presents with his wife: “Let me talk you through where I stand with my hair right now.
“Man is going thin on the top. Look at that.’’
Robbie, 46, above, then sank his chin to his chest to flash his balding bonce on the webcam.
Shocked Clarke, 41, said: “Oh mate, your wing-backs are pushing on.’’
Laughing, Robbie replied: “They really are. They are pushing on but they’ve left big gaps at the back.
“So I think I am going to have a thatch. I think I’m going to thatch it.’’
Robbie Williams admits he gets wife Ayda to shave his hairy bum
Carrie told Robbie – who had a hair transplant in 2013 – he still had a decent head of hair and told her hubby to more supportive.
But the singer replied: “If you had a friend whose hair was deserting them like mine is, you’d have to let them know.’’
Robbie underwent a dramatic hair transformation earlier this year when he shaved all of his hair off to prevent a receding hairline.
As it grew back, he then decided to dye it using powder, documenting the process before showing off the finished look.
He said to the camera: "I'm going thin on top so I've bought some hair! There's hair in here.
"I don't even know if its going to be the right colour. It's powder but it's going to be hair."
