Kem Cetinay has returned to Instagram following a short break, after he was involved in a fatal crash.

The former Love Island star, 26, took a two week break from social media after he had been involved in a horrific car accident in Essex.

The incident occurred when Kem had been driving his Mercedes G-Wagon 4×4 near Hornchurch, where a motorcyclist crashed into him at 60mph.

The motorcyclist, Tommy Griggs, died on August 4, after paramedics at the scene couldn’t save him. The impact of the crash had elevated his body 20ft into the air, before landing on the tarmac.

Kem broke his silence with a picture of himself and a young boy at a gym.

He wore a black Puma t-shirt and a pair of shorts, as he smiled for the camera.

He uploaded the snap to Instagram, captioning the post: "Gym sesh with my little mate," and a love heart emoji.

While Kem has kept quiet about the incident, tributes for Tommy have been awash on social media.

Amba Davies, the mother to Tommy’s daughter, lead the tributes with a touching post on Facebook.

She wrote: "The last 4 years haven't been the easiest but you gave me the best gift anyone could ever have given me.

"She loves you so much Tommy and I'm going to tell her about you every single day and I'll make sure she makes you so proud!

"You have my heart Thomas Roy Griggs. May you rest in eternal peace."

Kem was not seen in public following the crash for a few days, but was spotted returning to his parents’ house in Romford.

Kem became famous after he won the third series of Love Island in 2017, alongside his ex-girlfriend Amber Davies.

Amber and Kem shared the £50,000 prize money and split just six-months after their ITV stint.

Still involved with Love Island, he co-hosts The Morning After podcast with Arielle Free.
