Jennifer Aniston’s net worth is set to soar after Friends reunion
Jennifer Aniston is arguably the most recognisable faces from the Friends franchise, and has gone on to have an incredibly successful career.
She starred in all 236 episodes across the 10 seasons of Friends, and with the eagerly anticipated reunion episode dropping today, we take a look at how she has become one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood.
From her iconic role as Rachel Green in Friends, to her hit movies that cemented her as a household name, she was able to amass a huge net worth.
Here we take a closer look at her career and how she arguably became Friends' biggest success story.
Jennifer Aniston’s net worth
Jennifer’s net worth is a whopping $300 million dollars (£216 million), according to wealth website Celebrity Net Worth.
It was the role of Rachel Green in the hit TV series Friends that propelled her into being an A list celebrity and demand mega bucks for films and shows that she has appeared in.
However the big money didn't roll in straight away. When Friends first started, the cast were offered in comparison to what they earned in the latter years a paltry $22,000 (£14.7k) per episode.
As the show grew in popularity the cast started to negotiate new salaries and by the second season, each cast member received $100,000 per episode (£63k), which increased to a mega $1million (£535k) per episode by the final season.
Friends reunion 'pointless' – but with 'flashes' of cast magic, critics say
When negotiating their pay after the success of the first season, the cast quickly recognised their value and were canny enough to include payment from syndication rights.
The show may have ended years ago, but the good news for them is that Friends is still syndicated around the world and gives Warner Bros an annual syndication revenue of $1billion dollars, (£720million) of which the cast receive 2% of.
This annual cash injection boosts the cast's yearly income by $20 million dollars, (£14.4million). And the Friends money bag keeps getting bigger, because the reunion show once aired will have netted the cast at least $2.5million dollars (£1.8millon) each.
