Harry Potters Luna Lovegood star secretly dated Potter co-star for nine years

It’s been 20 years since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone hit our screens and the film has launched some of the most famous actors around – Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

But two other stars of the hit films managed to keep under the radar that they were in a relationship for nine whole years.

Evanna Lynch and Robbie Jarvis found love after meeting on set but somehow nobody knew about it until they announced they were together in 2015.

Evanna, 30, played the kindly but eccentric Ravenclaw Luna Lovegood in four of the films, making her first appearance in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Robbie, 35, had a smaller part and played the young version of Harry's dad, James Potter, also in the fifth film.

They started dating back in 2007 but did not make it official for nine years. The pair are no longer together but it appears the split was amicable and they are still friends.

Evanna is from County Louth in Ireland and was such an ardent Harry Potter fan she even sent letters to J.K. Rowling as a child.

Her performances in the films led Rowling to call her one of the “Big Seven”.

Since Harry Potter Evanna has focused on theatre and activism.

Meanwhile, Robbie is from Yeovil in Somerset and since being in the Harry Potter franchise has had various acting gigs. He lives in LA and is currently in a play at the Odyssey Theatre.

Meanwhile, Tom Fletcher has chosen which actor he would like to play him in a future McFly film – and the lucky candidate is rather good at waving wands as well as guitars.

That's because the McFly singer, 36, has revealed he'd like Harry Potter star Tom Felton, 34, to play him in a biopic movie about him and his band.

Hollywood actor Tom is best known for playing the villainous wizard of Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films – and the fantasy franchise is one of the most commercially successful of all time.

Taking to his Instagram Story during a Q&A session with his 2million followers, Tom insisted that Tom Felton would be the perfect fit to play him on the big screen.

One fan asked him: "Who would play you in a McFly film?"

Tom replied by sharing a throwback snap of him standing next to Felton at an event, and the smiling pair looked strikingly similar.

The Harry Potter star was sporting a suave suit whilst the McFly singer wore a breezy blue shirt with a necklace.

Tom cheekily called Tom "TF2" as he penned the caption: "TF2 has the role. All day long @t22felton".
