Carol Vorderman wows fans with natural snap as she rocks skintight gym wear

Carol Vorderman has thrilled her followers in skintight gym wear after heading back to her home country of Wales.

The 61-year-old former Countdown star showed off her sensational hourglass figure on Twitter, as she posted a selfie whilst on a deserted beach.

Documenting the outing, Carol snapped away as she enjoyed a walk on the sand in a fitted gym top and colourful leggings.

The presenter, who opted for no makeup during the stroll, also sported trainers and a white hat.

Alongside the photos, Carol wrote: "Good morning from an empty beach…. CROESO I GYMRU… WELCOME TO WALES. Me and my shadow."

It didn't take long for the post to be inundated with complimentary comments from fans.

One said: "Lucky beach x."

Another added: "Good morning Carol, lovely picture."

A third wrote: "Oh wow, absolutely tremendous view."

While a fourth simply gushed: "Wow stunning."

Despite receiving plenty of positive comments from fans, it hasn't always been easy for Carol.

Last year, the star opened up on the "abuse" she once faced after wearing an "above-the-knee" frock to the BAFTA Awards.

The abuse came after Carol attended the awards show back in 2000 in a short boob tube dress.

Speaking about the moment on Instagram, she shared: "When I was 39 I wore a short dress to the BAFTAS and the media world went mental… the BBC made a whole show about 'should a women age 39 wear a dress above the knee?'

"This was in the year 2000, not exactly medieval times.

"Now people laugh at the question 'should a woman of 39 wear a dress above the knee' but I had to live through off the scale abuse because I'd done it….ridiculous.

"Now the world has better attitudes."

She also insisted she was not about to start switching up her attitude and views either.

Carol added: "So now I'm 60. What does it mean? Really? What does age mean at all? It means nothing. Experience, capacity to make people happy, spirit, thoughts and mainly actions… they mean it all.

"Can't be bothered with moaners or bullies or show offs …they can stuff off. We are here once just once… so. Find what makes you happy and do more of it."
