What Brought Prince William and Prince Harry Back Together, According to a Source

By now, you’ve probably seen the reports of an alleged feud between Prince William and Prince Harry. They say the brothers have been going through a rough patch since at least 2017 that has only worsened by the day.

But according to Vanity Fair, things are turning around and the brothers are getting back to a good place. Let’s talk about what reportedly brought Prince William and Prince Harry back together.

Their reported beef was serious

You probably thought that Prince William and Prince Harry had formed an unbreakable bond following the untimely death of their mother, Princess Diana. But that reportedly changed when Prince Harry proposed to Meghan Markle after a whirlwind romance.

A friend of the princes told royal expert and author Katie Nicholl in June 2019 that there had been “a genuine rift between the princes that had been brewing since Harry’s engagement to Meghan [in late 2017].” The brothers apparently “fell out after William voiced his concerns that Harry’s relationship with Meghan was moving too quickly.”

“‘William had concerns and Harry resented that,’ says the friend,” continued Nicholl. “Harry also felt that William and Kate [Middleton] hadn’t made enough effort with Meghan. At one stage the situation between Harry and William was so strained that they were not on speaking terms.”

But that changed around May 2019.

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor has reportedly helped soothe their relationship

Since Prince Harry and Markle welcomed their firstborn child, Archie, in May, the brothers have reportedly grown closer. The friend told Nicholl that things have been “much better” since Archie’s arrival.”

The family will even get together on July 6 for baby Archie’s christening, which sounds like a sweet celebration. During the ceremony, his forehead will “doused from the lily font with water from the River Jordan,” according to The Sunday Times. The family will take photos that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will later release to the public.

That’s not the only thing that has brought peace to the palace

Prince Harry and Markle’s decision to split their staff and offices from Prince William and Middleton has reportedly worked wonders, too. The report said that the Duchess of Sussex had become known around Kensington Palace for being “difficult and demanding,” which seemingly caused tension between the brothers.

“Her habit of sending 5 a.m. emails to staff saw her nicknamed ‘Hurricane Meghan,’” Nicholl explained. There was also a reported “unusually high” turnover rate of staff. The report said that five people have resigned to date, including two private assistants who allegedly quit under the pressures of the job.

But having separate quarters has “alleviated tensions.”

“Kensington Palace is small in comparison to Buckingham Palace, where Harry and Meghan will be able to spread their wings independently of William and Kate,” Nicholl explained.

A source echoed those comments to The Sun. “The brothers’ relationship has vastly improved since their working lives have separated,” the insider said.

We don’t know about you, but that’s great to hear. Let’s hope that, if the rumors are true, they keep this up.
