It seems there is something in the air in the Yorkshire Dales, as love has blossomed left, right and centre.

Let's take a look at some of some of the soap's stars who have cast a fellow actor as protagonist in their lives….

The two are became engaged in 2018, and they have recently welcomed their first child.

The soap star couple took to Instagram to announce the very exciting news that they had welcomed a son, and revealed his name too.

The pair shared a series of adorable snaps of the newborn, and Laura, 37, wrote alongside them: “So, on Friday Jan 29th at 1.30am we managed to bring this little champ into the world.

“It was the most incredible, surreal experience I have ever had and probably ever will and my tiny mind is blown.

“He is perfect and we’re all so happy to welcome him to the fam. Jesse Jordon we’re all head over heels IN LOVE with you.

“@daddyjordon you were the BEST birthing partner would absolutely not be in one piece without you and @roh_birthcentre are amazing!! All the girls but espesh Amy our midwife who is some sort of super hero.”

"The boys kept in touch after Kris finished on the show but they've spent a lot of time together over summer.

However, Natalie, 46, confirmed the romance on Loose Women telling the panel: "Yes, Jonny McPherson and I started to see each other or our first date was in mid-January and then we were just having a couple of dates in February and then obviously in March lockdown happened.

"We were together at the time that Boris Johnson announced it. So he's been kind of staying with me. They were saying it could be three weeks, it could be maybe six weeks and I was like, 'Oh okay!'"

Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden

Although Chelsea Halfpenny and James Baxter did not star on the soap at the same time, in October 2019 it was revealed that the pair had been together for over a year.

James, who played James Doyland on the soap until 2009, did not meet Chelsea who played Amy Wyatt until 2013 when they were co-stars but the Emmerdale connection no doubt bought them together.

Michelle Hardwick and Kate Brooks

Michelle and Kate met on Emmerdale and married in Memphis, Tennessee back in 2019 and and last October she gave birth to a little boy.

However, if you are a true soap fan but do not recognise Kate, don't worry. She is not actually an actor, but instead one of the show's producers.

Fiona Wade and Simon Cotton

Fiona married Simon in a stunning ceremony, that was covered exclusively by OK! back in 2019.

The couple confirmed their romance in 2018 after meeting on the Emmerdale set in 2017 and Simon insists it was love at first sight.

Jeff Hordley and Zoe Henry

Jeff Hordley and Zoe Henry play Cain Dingle and Rhona Goskirk in the soap.
