My boyfriend smoked weed in Amsterdam and I cannot see myself with a man who takes drugs – The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: MY boyfriend knows I am anti-drugs, but he still went to Amsterdam to smoke weed with his mates.

My parents were alcoholics so I know the harm addiction can do. I can deal with drink, but I draw the line at illegal drugs.

His friends came round recently and were discussing going back to Amsterdam and using cannabis.

I got upset as I realised the trip was already booked.

We argued about it and he told me to get over it – and he was going regardless of how I felt.

We are both 29 and have been together for two years, but I cannot see myself with a man who takes drugs. I may be over-reacting, but I feel so hurt.

DEIDRE SAYS: People have very different views on the dangers of using cannabis.

However, your boyfriend is showing no regard to your feelings, nor trying to reassure you.

For this reason alone you need to ask yourself whether he is right for you.
