Meghan Markle’s diamond eternity ring has a secret message
Meghan Markle‘s new eternity ring isn’t just any diamond band.
The 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex debuted her delicate new sparkler — a gift from Prince Harry to celebrate their first wedding anniversary as well as the birth of their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor — at the Trooping the Colour celebrations last month.
The Duke of Sussex, 34, worked with celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz to create the custom piece, according to Harper’s Bazaar, adding in the birthstones for Markle, Archie and himself amongst the pavé diamonds.
The tiny peridot, emerald and sapphire stones, respectively, can be found on the underside of the band, ensuring that Markle’s family is always with her. “Meghan was touched,” a source told the publication. “A lot of thought went into it.”
Prince Harry also took the opportunity to upgrade his wife’s engagement ring, swapping its original yellow gold band with a thinner pavé diamond one that complements the eternity ring.
