Frankie Bridge’s incredible 20 year hair history, from bleach shock to yummy mummy
Former The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge is one of the many famous faces entering the I’m A Celebrity jungle this weekend, and we couldn’t resist taking a look back at how much she’s changed since making her popstar debut 20 years ago.
Frankie, 32, has transformed her hair over the years, but back in the day she was mostly famed for rocking a super short pixie cut, inspiring many fans to brave the chop themselves.
The mum of two has since ditched her shorter style for a lengthy bob and a buttery blonde balayage, which will be perfect for growing out in the jungle, but that doesn’t stop us reminiscing on her biggest hair moments.
From a sweeping side fringe, to a platinum blonde crop and even hair extensions, Frankie really has tried everything during her time in the spotlight.
Here’s everything you need to know about Frankie’s barnet…
Most people will know Frankie from The Saturdays, but her rise to fame actually began with S Club Juniors. Here you’ll see the star aged just 12 (pictured in the red top) without her trademark ‘do, but instead, rocking a heavily layered hairstyle, with a wispy side fringe. Can you spot Rochelle Humes as well?
Here it is – the famous brunette crop in all its glory. We’ll leave the pencil-thin brows and glittery eyeshadow behind but Frankie’s OG hairstyle was a thing of dreams.
Whilst we won’t be rushing to spike our hair up, we do have to salute Frankie for pulling off such a bold look. Just how much gel did this take to assemble?
It’s back, it’s jet black and it’s just as gorgeous as ever. This time, Frankie has opted for a longer, asymmetric fringe with tons of body added through layers.
In 2009, Frankie decides to go a little longer, ditching her trademark cut for a glossy brunette bob instead.
A sleeker, more mature version of her previous crop, Frankie returns to the short hair life, only this time in a gorgeous chocolate brown shade.
Fast forward three years and Frankie’s short style is still going strong. Her hair looks super shiny too – let’s hope she reveals her shampoo secrets in the jungle.
After rocking short hair for years, Frankie randomly appears with shoulder length locks – the work of some very clever hair extensions? We think so.
Taking “long hair, don’t care” to a whole new level, Frankie sports super long tresses on the red carpet and we almost didn’t recognise her.
It’s back, but it’s blonde – platinum blonde in fact. Frankie looks completely different in 2017 after bleaching her hair and cutting it off again into a short crop.
Not only has the star gone back to brunette, but she’s also rocking a trendy micro-fringe, giving us major hair envy.
Fast forward to 2021 and Frankie is championing the lob (long bob) trend. She’s also gone for a gorgeous blonde balayage whilst keeping her roots brown for a more natural look.
