The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were today joined by Prince Michael of Kent as they hosted a garden party at Buckingham Palace.
The royals stepped out to celebrate the Royal Kennel Club’s 150th anniversary party at the palace in London.
The Royal Kennedy club is headed by the prince, 80, and is one of the largest organisations in the UK devoted to dog health, welfare and training.
King Charles, 74, in a sweet act of homage to his late mother Queen Elizabeth, permitted the dog organisation – which was championed by the monarch, to have a garden party at the palace.
Prince Michael, who is Queen Elizabeth’s first cousin, was photographed chatting to guests, alongside the Duke and Duchess.

The Duchess of Gloucester, 76, looked stunning in a buttoned navy blue ensemble cinched at the waist, which she matched with a navy blue sun hat.
She accessorised her look with a red clutch bag, nude wedge heels and a three-line pearl necklace which featured a dash of blue.
Her husband, the Duke of Gloucester, 78, also a cousin of the late Queen, joined her at the event in a grey suit, which he teamed with a red tie and black leather shoes. He too opted for a sun hat while out in the warm weather.
The prince and the club’s president, looked as dapper as ever as he sported a tailored grey checked suit alongside a sky blue shirt and navy blue tie with decorative gold symbols.
He completed the look with a pair of black leather shoes.

They also treated guest dogs to a very royal meet-and-greet, as they patted the hounds and spent time with them.
Queen Elizabeth was patron of the Royal Kennel Club for 70 years. It was founded in 1873 and is the oldest recognised kennel club in the world.
The club officially celebrated 150 years on April 5, when King Charles confirmed the club with a Royal prefix – which is now known as the Royal Kennel Club.
