Harry Styles’s fans flipped the script at one of his closing concerts in Palm Springs as they serenaded him on his 29th birthday.

The megastar played to a sold-out crowd at Acrisure Arena on Wednesday and appeared holding a balloon in honour of his special day.

Kicking off the performance with Daydreaming from his latest album Harry’s House, the musician’s first song was met with an eruption of cheers and adoring cries.

He addressed the North American crowd, saying: ‘My name is Harry’ before admitting he felt ‘wiser’ on his big day.

The star donned a matching sparkly pink blazer and pants ensemble before nodding to his much-loved band and encouraging them to continue entertaining the audience.

Wednesday’s showcase was a landmark gig as the headlining act was celebrating his birthday and the last year of his 20s.

It also marked the end of the North American leg of his Love On Tour, news of which was met with a deafening symphony of screams from Harry’s hardcore fans.

The arena and its excited ticket-holders went all-out to make the birthday boy feel special and hung up banners and drinks that nodded to songs on his set list.

Fans enjoyed snapping plenty of pictures in front of a ‘Happy Birthday Harry’ sign and queued in their hundred to get up close and personal with the decoration.

During the concert, the entire arena sang happy birthday to the superstar once he finished playing his songs for the night.

Returning the favour, Harry hoped back on stage to perform two encores of his famous tracks Sign of the Times, As It Was and Kiwi.

Continuing on the birthday theme, his band also banged out the universal tune and presented him with a cake, following which he blew out his candles and emotionally thanked his fans for coming to shows and supporting his career over the years.

In true Harry style, the singer took time out from belting his popular hits to analyse the signs held up by fans in the crowd.

One notice read: ‘Got dumped by my situationship’, to which the hitmaker admitted he couldn’t understand and thought it wasn’t possible.

Another audience member revealed via her painted sign that she had just learned of her pregnancy and was reassured by the former One Direction band member that she would be a great mum.
