A Vintage Rolex GMT-Master 1675 Headlines Upcoming Bob’s Watches Auction

Bob’s Watches has revealed that it’ll be putting a one-of-a-kind Rolex GMT-Master 1675 up for auction later this month. While the GMT-Master may not be the rarest of Rolex models, this particular timepiece has a rather important piece of history attached to it. The watch originally belonged to a personal collection of Thomas Francis Finley Jr., who was a co-pilot for the recovery of the Apollo 14 mission.

The timepiece arrives in a 40mm-wide stainless steel watch case, featuring a faded “Pepsi” bezel and a black dial. While the time-teller is not without obvious signs of scratches and wear, the dial remains in good condition with a unique patina. Inside the watch dwells the automatic 1575 caliber that’s equipped with time and day indication.

Estimated to fetch between $15,000 – $30,000 USD, the GMT-Master 1675 will be available for bidding from November 10 – 14 along with other historical artifacts from the time that belonged to Thomas Francis Finley Jr. Visit the lot’s dedicated webpage to view the full auction lineup.
