Trisha Goddard, 64, is preparing to get married for the fourth time, after her mystery boyfriend proposed during a hike over the New Year. The presenter showed off her huge ring on Instagram last night and said she was “on cloud nine”.
She told her 47,000 followers: “So mid-hike, I thought #boo was breaking out the usual snack of almonds or mandarins or bottles of water…Ummm…Man broke out #jewelz.”
Trisha said she and her partner have been together for four years and gushed that he makes her laugh and looks after her.
The television star then assured fans that the surprise engagement was not because she is expecting.
She continued: “I’m so frickin’ happy with him…And before you ask, no…. I’m not pregnant!
“When you 64 you more scared of your kids than what your Mammy and Pappy g’wan say!
“But moi? I’m on bl**dy Cloud Nine!”(sic)
Trisha has claimed that this engagement marks the first time she has not had to buy her own ring.
The TV legend told The Sun: “I’m so happy! I said I’d never say, ‘I do’ again.
“First time anyone has bought me an engagement ring! In the past I’ve had to buy my own.
“For the first time in my life, I’ve met someone who looks after me instead of vice versa.”
Trisha was first married to Australian politician Robert Nestdale in 1985.
She then wed TV producer Mark Grieve. They were married from 1993 to 1996 and share two daughters, Billie, 32, and Madison, 29.

In 1998 she was married to psychotherapist Peter Gianfrancesco until 2017.
After a turbulent love life, Trisha has kept her new husband-to-be out of the spotlight, referring to him only in social media posts as #boo.
She revealed last year in an interview that he is four years her senior and they live in Connecticut together, after meeting through a mutual friend.
The former Dancing On Ice star told OK!: “He’s amazing. He’s from Connecticut and we have a lot in common. He’s a widower and lost his wife to breast cancer, so now he’s a single dad.
“He’s also Jewish and understands what it’s like to be on the receiving end of racism, especially now!”
She went on to say that he has a “management job” and the first boyfriend she has had that earns more money than her.
Trisha has been inundated with congratulatory messages after sharing the news of her upcoming nuptials.
Olympian Jenny Stoute penned: “TRISH! I am screaming… so bl**dy happy for you. You are one of the nicest souls and so deserved. Love seeing that beautiful smile of yours.”
Good Morning Britain’s Dr Amir Khan added: “Oh my god! Congratulations! You two are so cute together.”
And Dancing On Ice professional, Alex Schauman, said: “Omg! Congratulations.”(sic)
