Maisie Smith and Max George made headlines earlier this year as they were spotted putting on a loved-up display while out and about together. Now, the couple seem to have taken the next step in their relationship by going social media-official.
The couple enjoyed a getaway to sunny Crete during their summer break.
Maisie, who participated in the 2020 edition of Strictly Come Dancing, took to Instagram earlier this week to share a tribute to her partner.
In the picture, the pair could be seen sharing a passionate kiss and a hug while soaking up the sun during their holiday.
Maisie captioned the shot: “Another one while it’s still ya birthday.”
In turn, Max told the former soap star: “Best birthday ever baby.”
Maisie also proclaimed her love by changing her Instagram bio to feature Max’s handle alongside a heart emoji.
Maisie was runner-up in the 2020 series of the hit BBC ballroom competition with Gorka Marquez when she met Max, who was partnered with Dianne Buswell that same year.
Despite a brilliant performance, Maisie lost out on the Glitterball Trophy to Bill Bailey and his pro partner Oti Mabuse.
She also filled in during the live tour last year after 2021 finalist AJ Odudu pulled out on medical advice following an injury.
The actress is now preparing for her musical debut alongside Strictly pro Kevin Clifton.
Maisie revealed the exciting news during a chat with Lorraine Kelly on her eponymous ITV talk show.
Maisie first performed with Kevin during the Strictly Children In Need special back in 2019 where they were crowned champions.
The show has been choreographed by Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood and has seen Maisie return to her ballroom rehearsals.
“It’s brilliant,” Maisie told Lorraine. “Obviously, we met a couple of years ago.
“I started my brief Strictly journey with you so it is only fitting we get to continue it now.”
Lorraine asked: “So you danced together for the Children In Need special, didn’t you?
“You won that, didn’t you, that was in 2019, wasn’t it?”
Maisie nodded as Lorraine enquired about her Strictly experience which began before the coronavirus pandemic.
The actress revealed: “It is a blur, it’s just pre-Covid in my eyes.”
The host then told Maisie she believed she was “really good” on Strictly.
