Sir Rod Stewart, 76, gave fans a glimpse of his family life yesterday as shared a heartwarming snap with two of his sons. The legendary singer cut an elegant figure as he posed in a suit and fur-collared coat, flanked by his sons  Liam, 27, and Alistair, 16.

In view of his 651,000 Instagram followers, Rod wrote: “Wishing you all a lovely weekend from me and two of my sons Liam and Alastair.”

The photograph sparked a fan frenzy, with more than 67,000 people liking the post.

Some Instagram users also left comments heaping praise on the trio.

Gwensaintmary wrote: “Stylish trio!

“The three of you are knocking ‘em dead!”

mary.good.336 added: “Great picture.

“You have two very nice looking sons.

“I know you are very proud.”

During the episode, Penny spoke candidly about her menopause and the struggles it presented for her.

Rod said his wife’s health fears were a “fragile situation” at the time.

He explained that he tried to help his wife through the difficult time.

The star said: “I googled and googled and googled.

“It said, ‘Shut up and understand,’ I mean it’s a fragile situation she was in.”

“You’re much better now, aren’t you?” Rod asked his wife.

Penny agreed that she was, adding: “I’m on the meds now.”

Rod went on: “I did my reading and just realised you’ve got to understand and get ready for flying saucepans around the kitchen.”
