Phillip Schofield reunited with his wife Stephanie for a family holiday, a year after coming out as gay.

The This Morning host, 58, teamed up with Stephanie, 56, to celebrate their oldest daughter Molly’s 28th birthday in America.

Over the weekend, the former couple, Molly and sister Ruby, 24 came together to celebrate and were seen posing for a selfie in Los Angeles at the Griffith Observatory.

Phillip, who is believed to be living in a reported £2million bachelor pad in west London following his move out of the family home, shared the happy shot on his Instagram.

He wrote: “Amazing long weekend celebrating @mollyschfe’s birthday. Hope you had a wonderful time gorgeous.”

It was reported in September that the This Morning host will split his £9million fortune with his wife of 27 years.

This comes after Stephanie supported Phillip in his decision to come out as gay in February 2020 – an announcement he made on Instagram, moments before discussing it on This Morning.

In the statement Phillip posted to his 3.1million followers, he wrote: "With the strength and support of my wife and my daughters, I have been coming to terms with the fact that I am gay."

He said the news had caused 'heart-breaking conversations' at home with his family, who had done what they could to 'cheer me up' despite their confusion.

Yet, Phillip admitted: "I can’t sleep and there have been some very dark moments."

He explained: "My inner conflict contrasts with an outside world that has changed so very much for the better. Today, quite rightly, being gay is a reason to celebrate and be proud. Yes, I am feeling pain and confusion, but that comes only from the hurt that I am causing to my family."

Phillip had warm words for his wife, who he referred to with fondness as Steph.

" has been incredible – I love her so very much. She is the kindest soul I have ever met."

His daughters were also praised.

He said of Molly and Ruby: "My girls have been astonishing in their love, hugs and encouraging words of comfort. Both mine and Steph’s entire families have stunned me with their love, instant acceptance and support.

"Of course they are worried about Steph, but I know they will scoop us both up."
