Peter Andre wants more vaccine tests and says his brother’s death made him quit reality TV show

Vaccine passports under review

Boris Johnson has promised there will be a review on vaccine passports so people can visit places like pubs and travel abroad. Something like this is tricky because currently the vaccine is not mandatory.

Maybe there are going to be some countries that will have an option that if you’ve had your vaccine you can go straight through at the airport and if not you have to do a test before you travel and a test when you arrive.

I do think this would be a good way around it. One thing’s for sure, this country is doing amazingly well in its vaccine rollout.

My gold stars

I’m so excited for J and P that they’ll be back in school next week. They were worried after reading they may have to do lessons over the holidays, but I said to just be excited about getting back to school and seeing their friends and we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.

I’m so proud of them for being focused and so is their school – they haven’t missed a thing. The hardest part has been when they’ve complained about how long it is, but I just remind them that they get time off every few weeks.

They roll their eyes at me but they’ll be grateful in the long run! It also feels like an achievement for me as I never thought I’d be teaching my children again like in the first lockdown. I haven’t had a clue about their work – things have changed since I was at school.

Charlotte Crosby is my double

Charlotte Crosby has revealed she’s pretending to be me on the celebrity version of The Circle.

I actually got asked about it six months ago and whether or not I was OK with it and I said it would be great. Charlotte has been very complimentary, even apparently saying that I’m the “most lovable man on this earth”, which is totally not true but very nice just the same. I really appreciate her saying that – thank you, Charlotte!

I don’t actually know her but she used to make me laugh so much on Geordie Shore. Emily and I used to watch it all the time – it was our TV guilty pleasure.

I think Charlotte’s fun and I think it will be great to see how she does. I’ve never seen the show before so I’m looking forward to tuning in. I’ve heard it’s fab.

A different take on reality

On the latest instalment for my YouTube channel The Andres, I re-watched an episode of my ITV2 reality show with J and P. It was crazy to see how much they’ve grown up. It really was amazing reliving those incredible moments.

I’m really enjoying the YouTube vlogs and they’re something fun we can do as a family. I often get asked why I stopped filming our reality show when it was doing so well and I guess there were a number of factors, the main one being when I lost my brother Andrew in 2012.

Even though ITV were very kind to give me a month off filming, when I went to film again I was constantly breaking down and I realised it was time to take a long break from doing the show.

Light at the end of the tunnel

This third lockdown has been incredibly difficult for millions of people, so the road map out has provided some positivity.

Families who have lost someone may never recover and many business have been ruined, but it’s so nice to see some end in sight.

There was talk that Grease The Musical wouldn’t be able to go ahead this year, but now it’s looking like it’s going to happen – I can’t wait to get back on stage.

Thank God I’ve also been in the studio putting an album together because hopefully I’ll be releasing it this year and then I’d love to go on tour.
