Peter Andre speaks on mums suffering as he opens up on emotional reunion
Peter Andre has spoken out on the "emotional" reunion he had with his parents after two years apart due to restrictions over the coronavirus pandemic.
The 49 year old, who relocated to Australia from London when he was six years old, appeared on ITV's Good Morning Britain to talk to Kate Garraway, 54, and Ben Shephard, 47, about how it went.
Sitting next to his brother Michael, sister Debbie, and son Junior, 16, he shared: "These past few days for myself, Michael and Junior especially, have been the best days we've had in many many years.
"Obviously seeing my mum, who is sitting over there, and my dad, it's just incredible. Really is."
When asked how it felt when he got to have his first hug with everyone after two years apart, he explained: "I was very emotional obviously. Mike came in first…"
His brother Michael then said: "I came in a couple of days before him and it was just, I couldn't contain myself. Tears everywhere."
Peter, who recently explained why his daughter Princess has to wait before launching her showbiz career, then shared how their mum Thea has not been doing well recently.
He said: "Because it's… Our mum's not very well and dad's 89, he's still rocking dad is. But mum, yeah, she's suffering quite a bit. So we're all here together and it means a lot to us to have this time together."
Turning his attention to his sister, he went on: "Debbie, you've been so important in this, helping mum and dad out. So I think Debbie is more the one who could probably tell you what it feels like for us to be here, because for us it's amazing.
"So we hope it's the same for them. I love my sis."
Peter went on: "When we think about us, we don't want to complain because there are millions of people going through this, which is what we've gone through.

"Where people are saying, 'I can't wait to get to New Zealnd to see my family or Australia,' but then you talk about the horrors going around the world and children being separated from their families and families being destroyed. That is a whole different level and we are just so grateful."
Peter shared that he had reunited with his mum on 10 March as he posted a sweet snap of himself planting a kiss on Thea's cheek.
Thea appeared over the moon to be with her son in the photo as Peter gushed over her in the caption, where he wrote: "These last few days with my mum have been the greatest days in many many years.
