‘Old Town Road’ Tops Billboard Hot 100 For 15th Week

Lil Nas X‘s “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, has continued its reign atop Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart for a 15th week.

The catchy song is just the 3rd single in the chart’s history to reign for 15 weeks. The last single to spend at least that many weeks atop the chart was Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee‘s “Despacito,” featuring Justin Bieber, which spent a record-tying 16 weeks on top in 2017.

“Old Town Road” is now just a week from tying the record for the most time on top in the chart’s history. Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men‘s “One Sweet Day” had also spent a record 16 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 in 1995-96.

“Old Town Road” also leads the Streaming Songs chart for a 15th week, with 70.5 million U.S. streams in the week ending July 11, down 21%, according to Nielsen Music.
