She was showered with praise following the release of her documentary Katie Price: Harvey And Me – which showed the reality of living with her disabled son Harvey.

But a source has revealed to new magazine that Katie Price still feels her critics are out to get her after she was probed by police following claims she’d breached lockdown rules.

The 42-year-old, who was recently 'heard discussing lip filler treatment' in now-deleted video, was reported to the police for travelling 180 miles and staying at a cottage in Shropshire with her boyfriend Carl Woods, but dodged fines after it was found she made the journey for work purposes.

She had tried to fool her Instagram fans into thinking Carl, 32, had built the cabin in his own garden and stuffed it with pink balloons, roses and cake.

“People around Katie think it was silly for her to lie as she had a legitimate reason to be in Shropshire, which police later confirmed. They think she probably panicked and thought people would get the wrong idea,” the source said.

“Katie understands how it looks, but she also knows that there will always be people out there who are anti-Katie and will try to throw her under the bus, no matter what she does.

“She was there for business reasons. Katie has carried on working the whole way through the pandemic as much as she can because she’s a working mum of five. Sometimes she feels like she can’t win and people are just out to get her.”

Last month, Katie was inundated with support after her programme, Katie Price: Harvey And Me, aired on the BBC. Many viewers admitted they had seen Katie in a new light after she opened up about the difficulties she and 18-year-old Harvey, who suffers with Prader-Willi syndrome, would face as he enters adulthood.

While she managed to win some people over, Katie, who is also mum to Junior, 15, Princess, 13, Jett, seven, and Bunny, six, still struggles with relentless trolling.

The source continued: “Katie thinks that people just don’t like to see a success story. She does get a lot of support, but there are always going to be people who say something horrible. There are always going to be keyboard warriors out there.

“It’s no secret that Katie is anti-trolling. She’s not afraid to take on the trolls. She got a lot of great publicity after her documentary, but there are always going to be the odd comments.”

The source added that the negativity has taken a toll on her mental health. “It can get her down,” they said. “She’s got a lot on juggling motherhood and homeschooling and she doesn’t need any more stress. She thinks there’s always someone who tries to bring her down.”

Katie and Carl had left his Essex home and travelled to Shropshire, where they spent Valentine’s weekend together in a log cabin.

Shropshire DCI Rik Klair confirmed: “We received reports on Sunday, 14 February of a possible Covid breach at a location near Oswestry. Officers attended and, after speaking to the manager of the premises, identified that two individuals were staying at this location.

“It was found that they were there for legitimate business purposes and were not issued with any fines. We are continuing to liaise with the premises to see if any breach of the Covid-19 regulations has taken place on their part.”

Katie’s rep added: “Katie did not set out to mislead anyone. She wished to keep her location private from those who, for whatever purpose, choose to permanently and negatively target her. In hindsight, she would have been better letting the location be known.”
