Kanye West not giving up on Kim Kardashian after she files to become legally single
Kanye West is reportedly not ready to let Kim Kardashian go despite his estranged wife filing documents to remove her married name.
Over the weekend it was said that Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim filed court documents to remove her married name days after the rapper made a public plea for her during his benefit concert with Drake in Los Angeles.
However, news of Kim allegedly filing to become legally single doesn't appear to phase the 44 year old rapper, who isn't "giving up on her".
"He's not giving up without a fight. Kim is the mother of his children, and he's not going to just let that go," a source revealed.
The source close to the Famous hitmaker added to People: "No matter if they're husband and wife, they'll always support each other.
"Her recent filing or any filing for that matter doesn't mean he's going to stop fighting to win her back."
Meanwhile, a separate source close to Kim, who is now smitten with Pete Davidson, has explained that she "tries not to pay attention" to his public pleas to rekindle.
"Nobody is going to stop him, and Kim knows that," a source said, adding that Kim will not reunite but only show "empathy" to the father of her four children.
Reality star Kim, who was seen telling off daughter North after she gave a live TikTok house tour, filed for divorce from Kanye earlier this year.
She is now dating Saturday Night Live comedian Pete, following her hosting stint on the show.
Despite her moving on, rapper Kanye made a public plea at his benefit concert on Thursday 9 December.
While performing his song Runaway, he repeatedly rapped: "I need you to run right back to me" before adding: "More specifically, Kimberly."
Hours later, Kim filed court documents to become legally single but requested the issues of child custody and property to be resolved in separate proceedings.
It's understood the timing was not a coincidence as a source said the star is "furious" with Kanye.
An insider told The Sun: "She's asked him not to talk about them in public – but he keeps on doing it."
"She's made a very clear statement to him by filing for legal single status."
The source added that Kanye's public gestures aren't "serious", adding: "He hasn't been seriously begging for her back. He just doesn't want her to move on. She feels like he thinks he owns her, so she wants to make it abundantly clear … what she won't tolerate any more."
"They have both moved on, and for her, there is no going back. She's much happier now."
