Joe Swash misses son Rex's first smile while on holiday with Alison Hammond
Joe Swash reveals he missed out on son Rex’s first smile – for a trip to Rome with Alison Hammond.
The 37-year-old, who welcomed the newborn with girlfriend Stacey Solomon, 29, last month, shared an adorable snap of the little one grinning.
Alongside the cute upload, he told his 889k Instagram followers: ‘How is my luck. I Had 2 go away for work and Rex has his first smile, gutted.’
It’s definitely up there with some of the sweetest photos ever uploaded on the gram.
And his fans rushed to praise the milestone moment.
‘Awww look at that gorgeous smile,’ one posted, while another said: ‘What an absolutely beautiful little thing.’
‘You might not have seen it, but it’s all yours,‘ a fan commented.
And a wise Instagram user added: With you and Stacey as parents, there will be many more x,’
We totally agree.
Joe might not have been around for Rex’s first smile, but he is having a whale of a time out on holiday with Alison Hammond – aka Beyonce – so there is that.
The pair are currently out in Italy, living their best lives on a Disney cruise – as you do.
In an update on his story, the dad-of-two could be seen rocking some glittery Minnie Mouse ears after taking some tourist photos of the Coliseum.
We’re totally jealous.
Stacey and Joe welcomed baby Rex on 23 May, ‘a lot earlier’ than they had planned.
He is their first child together, with the Loose Women star having boys Zachary and Leighton from a previous relationship, while the former EastEnders actor shares son Harry with his ex-fiancée.
And the mum-of-three has been praised for her honest take on life with a newborn.
In a candid snap on social media, she revealed she is struggling with sleep deprivation and keeping up with his feeding demands.
Alongside two snaps of herself and the newborn on the sofa, the 29-year-old began: ‘Today has been a total write-off…
‘I had so many plans and executed zero of them… I’m so behind with pumping, Barely getting enough off in time for feeds.
‘Looking out the window at the moment, dreading the sun going down. Thank goodness it’s summer! Did anyone else feel like that? I needed to sleep so badly today but I get sad when I sleep through the day and I wake up and it’s nearly night time!
‘But it’s OK tomorrow is a new day and I’ll be ready for it, Probably, Maybe, might actually not be though haha!’
Talk about family goals.
