Drake Celebrates Raptors’ NBA Championship In Video For ‘Money In The Grave’
Drake has released a music video for “Money In The Grave,” the song he released in June to celebrate the Toronto Raptors’ NBA Championship.
The black-and-white video, directed by Theo Skudra, begins with Drake arriving in a luxury SUV at a construction site where an excavator is digging a grave. He is then seen singing on a basketball court before he meets Rick Ross at a funeral home.
The clip also features footage from Drake’s recent OVO Festival in Toronto that shows him performing in a Raptors jersey and holding aloft the team’s NBA championship trophy.
“Money In The Grave” was originally released in June, bundled along with another new track “Omertà,” in a set titled The Best in the World Pack.
Drake, who is the global ambassador for the Raptors, said after the win, “This is poetic, you just gotta watch it happen. The 6 in six, Kyle Lowry with the ring, Kawhi Leonard bringing in chips to the city… I want my chips with the dip, that’s all I know.”
“We did this off of heart, we did this off of love. We willed this into existence. We manifested this,” the rapper declared.
