Tia Kofi has opened up on the terrifying moment a hoax bomb threat was made on her during rehearsals for her upcoming live shows alongside fellow RuPaul's Drag Race UK stars The Vivienne and Veronica Green.
The trio are teaming up with another drag artist, Shania Pain, to perform Drag Queens of Pop at London's Vaudeville theatre next week — the first West End show after lockdown.
But during rehearsals last week, police stormed the venue after receiving a false tip off that a bomb had been left at the rehearsal space.
Tia, who has recently released her new single Look What You've Done, has now exclusively opened up to OK! about the terrifying moment.
She said: "It was a real shock, as you'd expect. And one of those things that you never think is going to happen, it's not really something you can anticipate.
"It was really bizarre to think that someone, because they knew where we were, had decided to call in that hoax threat just to scare us which is pretty nasty.
"It's not the kind of behaviour you expect from a fellow human being, it was really shocking.
"We were all there with each other and we had that support and sisterhood to get each other through it and it was dealt with really brilliantly by the police.
"But whoever did it just, honestly, they shut down the whole of Charing Cross station and the whole area. People were taken out of their working environments and flats and all that kind of thing, so just a really silly thing to do."
Tia admits that the threat on her safety has made her feel more cautious about posting where she is in the future.
She explained: "From that point onwards, I have certainly been avoiding posting locations and things like that. Because, obviously, it's been shown to us that that's dangerous in a way, so I think it's wise to be cautious.
"I think that's generally a rule, obviously we have a few more followers and things like that, so more people are going to pay attention to that, but I think it's something that people in general should be aware of for their own sake."

Discussing her new single, Tia added: "With my single, I had the wonderful experience of working with Little Boots and Tom Aspaul which was an absolute dream come true, and then for this song, we have dance legend Cahill on board for it.
"It was a gorgeous meeting and collaboration that we managed to pul off l the song together, and I think people like it.
"It has that summer pop energy, perfect for the time that lockdown is sort of easing and we're all crawling our way back out of our caves into the sunlight and I think that's the energy of the song."
